I had one of these before and it lasted through two cars or about 15 years. I expect no less than that from the new one. It is a great organizer and helps tremendously on the rare occasions of an accident or ticket. It takes up virtually no room in the glove box. The only bad thing, if it is bad, is you have to buy a three pack, and I am a one car at a time kind of person. But with them being so cheap you good give them as gifts. One caution: it is meant for car registration, insurance, and perhaps emissisons stubs. It is not a glove box organizer.
